Social Intrapreneur, The Southern Initiative
Tania (Ngāi Tūhoe) is a Social Intrapreneur for The Southern Initiative team at Auckland Council. Her role is to support and enable social and community innovation in South Auckland to tackle some of our tough socio-economic challenges, and to be a change maker inside a massive bureaucracy. She is leading the The Southern Initiative team’s work on procurement and employment and skills. Before moving to The Southern Initiative team two years ago, she held strategy roles.
Prior to working at Auckland Council, Tania lived and worked in Dublin before settling in London for more than a decade, where she was Head of Policy at the Women’s Resource Centre – the UK’s leading umbrella organisation for the women’s NGO sector and one of Britain’s most admired charities. Before her move abroad, she worked for Women’s Refuge national office in a policy role.
Tania has a MA (Women’s Studies) from the University of Auckland.
