Chief Executive, Manukau Institute of Technology
Gus joined Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) as Chief Executive in September 2016, where he focuses on providing a great education to students and readying them for the next steps in life. He is passionate about educational parity for Māori and Pasifika students.
Prior to joining MIT, Gus was Deputy Chief Executive Operations at the Tertiary Education Commission, where he focused on improving sector operational performance and delivery.
Gus has worked internationally in several countries and enjoys leading large teams by example. He was educated at the University of Auckland and holds a Master of Business Administration.
Gus enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities including watching rugby, cricket and running. He is married to Marie-Agnes and has three adult children and a granddaughter.
