Auckland’s future skills needs

Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) is the region’s economic development agency. Our purpose is to support the growth of quality jobs for all Aucklanders. In this role, we’re taking the lead in creating awareness of the skills required by Auckland’s future workforce, identifying challenges and opportunities, and highlighting the changing skills needed for the improved productivity and economic development of New Zealand’s largest city.

ATEED has commissioned MartinJenkins to undertake research that will consider Auckland’s future skills needs and will support the city’s employers and industries in preparing for the future of work.

This research will analyse Auckland’s economic trajectory to look at wider trends and disruptions that may impact the future of work, and ultimately the city’s competitiveness. Understanding these issues will be critical to future workforce planning and the development of quality jobs for all Aucklanders.

Will all areas of Auckland benefit from economic growth? Will disruption create new employment opportunities? Which sectors will continue to rise, and which industries will need to move fast to be competitive?

Get the low-down from MartinJenkins before everybody else, at our exclusive research presentation.
